Dave Crompton Michigan 199?-2000 Daryl Adams Colorado 2000- David Stevens Wisconsin   this bus was owned by the famous designer Brooks Stevens.  in the 60s or 70s, Brooks and his son "hot-rodded" the bus.  this included the paint scheme, a deluxe dash, a 356 engine, 356 front brakes and a lowering job.  this is perhaps the first barndoor to be lowered. rumor is that this is the bus that was featured in the july 55 popular mechanics.  I tend to believe that because the man pictured in the article looks alot like Brooks Stevens.
